01 · Scope of Work
Complex, tight-tolerance sheet and plate parts in small and medium quantities. No minimum order quantity.
Approved gas turbine program supplier — P28A-AL-0002 audited and compliant (GE Supplier # 102626). Insulation packs, Inconel seals, shims, and other non-rotating component families.
Inconel, Hastelloy, Monel, and L605 / Haynes 25, fabricated under qualified weld procedures with heat and lot traceability.
Cutting, forming, welding, machining, and inspection in one building; blast, paint, and passivation in-house, with plating, anodize, and heat treatment through qualified, certified processors. No transfers between vendors during fabrication.
Heat and lot tracking, serialized part marking, CMM inspection to ±0.0005″, and dedicated fixturing for repeat runs.

United Metal Fabricators is a veteran-owned sheet and plate fabrication shop in Worcester, Massachusetts, founded in 1992. Sixteen people run the fabrication chain in-house — cutting, forming, welding, machining, and inspection — for complex, low-volume parts.
The shop has fabricated demanding materials for over thirty years. Every job carries heat and lot traceability and CMM inspection to ±0.0005″.
