01 · About UMF
United Metal Fabricators is a veteran-owned sheet and plate fabrication shop in Worcester, Massachusetts, founded in 1992. Sixteen people run the fabrication chain in-house — cutting, forming, welding, machining, and inspection — for complex, low-volume parts.
The shop has fabricated demanding materials for over thirty years, roughly 90% of it gas turbine hardware. Every job carries heat and lot traceability and CMM inspection to ±0.0005″.
02 · How We Work
Complex, low-quantity parts in demanding alloys, including one-piece runs. UMF does not run simple, high-volume production.
Cutting, forming, welding, machining, and inspection performed in-house; special-process finishing through qualified, certified processors. One purchase order, one point of accountability, one certification package.
Heat and lot tracking, serialized traceability, CMM inspection reports, and a full certification package ship with every order.
Send the print and the material specification. Expect a response within one business day, with DFM considerations flagged before fabrication begins.
